- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on consumer and commercial turf equipment, as well as Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
- Participate in required service training programs to expand technical skills and product knowledge
- Stay current on John Deere and competitive product updates
- Keep vehicles, tools, inventory, and equipment in good working condition
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures during service and repair tasks
- Complete required reports, forms, and documentation, including researching and ordering parts
- Track labor time and materials used in accordance with dealership processes and business systems
- Communicate professionally with manufacturers and technical support teams as needed
- Meet or exceed a 90% recovery efficiency target
- Perform field diagnostics and repairs when required
- Provide delivery support as needed
- Conduct or assist with customer clinics and training events
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in advanced repairs using specialized tools and technical manuals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Service Advisor software and basic computer applications
- Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to turf equipment
- Ownership of required personal tools (specialty tools provided by the dealership)
- Strong vehicle and equipment operation skills for diagnostic and testing purposes
- Physical capability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly
- Valid, insurable driver’s license required
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including some scheduled Saturdays
