Got a left hip replacement on 4/28. Not allowed to use inversion therapy anymore.
Great for my lower back . I have 2 degenerative discs.
Start slow! 2 minutes to start.
You will get sore when you first start.Converting, you're stretching things out that it may have never been stretched. Sort of like when you first start going to a chiropractor you get sore from the adjustments until your body gets used to them.
I worked my way up 8 minutes at a time.
Know this, you may get little capillary, blood vessels bursting on your forehead. Look like little spots. You'll often need to blow your nose after, as a lot of stuff gets helped brought up from your lungs and sinuses. Sometimes little blood vessels can you break in your nose as well and snot can be a teeny bit bloody. Totally normal. Helps clear you out.
I also recommend when you're done inversion, you bring it to level and lay there flat for a minute or two. If your back muscles are really tight, sometimes hanging fully upside down. That'll arch your spine backwards, not in proper. Alignment, so you also want to. Try to tilt your pelvis up when you're hanging upside down. My old chiropractor used to say it's like you're trying to peel on a wall but really high up. Tilting your pelvis high that is.
