Position: Cognitive Retraining Specialist (Part-Time)
**THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION**
Locion: Pottsville, PA
Part-time (15-20 hours/week) - No Weekends or On-Call
$20 an hour plus mileage
Wh is a Cognitive Retraining Specialist? Looking for a gre job in Educion, Rehabilition Counseling, Human Services, or Psychology with the leading provider of Cognitive Rehabilition? The primary role of the Cognitive Retraining Specialist is to assist individuals with developing various skills in order to be as independent as possible in their home and community. Every individual receives tailored services based on their special needs, so each day is unique. Staff work with 1 - 3 individuals a day for 3+ hours each, depending on the person's needs. All services are provided in the client's home, community, work, or volunteer locion. Staff might work on any of the following areas with the individuals they serve.
Training: Extensive paid training is provided. Training typically takes about 2 weeks to complete – then individuals start with cases (this does vary based on many different things) and during this time they are still working on self-directed Relias trainings They also receive 5 weeks of mentorship
Shifts/Hours/Pay: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm;/ $20 hour plus mileage reimbursement-Part-time equals 15 hours a week. This position does not work holidays/weekends and there is no on call.
Career Progression: Our Cognitive Retraining Specialists can eventually be promoted to Senior Cognitive Retraining Specialists, Clinical Coordinors, or Clinical Supervisors.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services/Educion/Social Science. Examples of disciplines include: educion, medicine, neuropsychology, occupional therapy, physical therapy, psychology, sociology, counseling, rehabilition science, recreion therapy, social work, special educion and speech-language phology. Other disciplines are considered on a case-by-case basis. Must also have had a valid driver’s license for 12 months prior to start. No prior experience is required.
About the Role:
As a Cognitive Retraining Specialist, you’ll work 1-on-1 (1–3 clients per day) to help individuals build skills for greer independence home, work, and in the community. Each day is unique, with customized support provided in client homes, community settings, or volunteer/work sites.

Teach memory stregies, planning, budgeting, and problem-solving
Promote social and communicion skills
Support safe navigion and community engagement
Help with study skills and vocional readiness
Educe families and build nural support systems
Schedule & Pay:
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (no nights, weekends, or holidays)
$20/hour + mileage reimbursement
Part-Time (15 hrs/week)
Training
2 weeks of paid training + 5 weeks of mentorship
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services/Educion/Social Science as sted above
Valid driver's license (held for least 12 months) and reliable transportion
Strong communicion, time management, and teamwork skills
Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred
