Position Scope:
The Production Associate is responsible for before and after finishing tasks. These include visual quality checks of raw and finished parts; racking, unracking, and packing parts per specification; and working in a safe and efficient manner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review Technical Notes on Job Card
• Choose rack listed on Job Card
• Rack parts per Racking Instructions on Job Card
• Once racked, initial and date the Racking Instructions section
• Conduct a visual quality check of raw parts while racking to ensure part are clean and of good quality
• Ensure all parts, splines, t-bars, and box racks are secure
• Have the bar checked by an approved Rack Checker before taking bar to the Line
• Take approved bar to the Line for processing
• If required, take finished bar to Blow Off area for processing
• Bring finished bar back to workstation
• Conduct a visual quality check of finished parts before unracking
• Unrack parts per Unracking Instructions on Job Card
• Conduct a 2nd visual quality check of finished parts while unracking to ensure parts meet the Quality Criteria on the Job Card
• Once unracked, initial and date the Unracking Instructions section
• Pack finished part per Packing Instructions on Job Card
• Conduct a 3rd visual quality check of finished part while packing to ensure parts meet the Quality Criteria on the Job Card
• Once packed, initial and date the Packing Instructions section
• Immediately report any quality concerns to Production Leaders or Quality Manager
• Identify and recommend solutions to problems concerning racking, unracking, or packing
• Complete productivity paperwork
• Keep workstation clean from debris and organized
• Follow process and safety procedures
Required Competencies:
• Efficiency
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time
• Physical ability to maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to utilize a pallet jack
• Ability to work in a facility that is not climate controlled
• Ability to accurately follow directions
• Extreme attention to details
Position Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a production or manufacturing facility
• Time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
Work Environment:
The work environment at US Anodize is typical of a metal finishing facility including a variety of chemicals, machinery, and power sources. The Production Associate will be exposed to a variety of manufacturing site environments. The facility lacks climate control. Typical workday will be 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday - Friday.
