This elegant and lovely carved wood pediment would have been the top of an English buffet or server or dresser of breakfront. It is solid wood and it's probably from the 1860 - 1890 period. Nice carved flower, rose, vine and acanthus leaf details. You could use this as a pediment above a window, you could use this as a headboard accent, you could mount this on a piece of furniture, you could adapt it and make it into a neat coat rack, or use it in other creative ways. This would look amazing chalk painted, or even painted white to accentuate the carving details. In good condition, this is structurally sound, solid, and without problems.
