Berks Container Recovery is hiring full-time and/or part-time general laborers/processors at our scrap metal (non-ferrous) recycling center. We are a close group that likes to laugh while we work hard. Please call, email, or message us for more information!
General Laborer Responsibilities: Operating a forklift, skid loader, baler, shears, and power tools to prepare scrap material for shipment. This is a processing position, but because we are a small business, potential for cross over into other areas as well as overtime is possible depending on company needs.
Qualifications: Forklift and/or skid loader operating experience is very helpful but not required. Heavy lifting is part of the job. It is a benefit to know different types of non-ferrous materials but this is not a requirement. The GL must be respectful of the managers; be on-time; be flexible in daily routine; and be conscious of the equipment, work space, employees, and customers.
Competitive hourly rate based on performance during probationary period and previous experience. Health Insurance and other benefits available for full-time positions.
Full-time hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Part-time hours: 3-4 days per week, hours & days can be flexible
