favorite this post Are there any chronic pain support groups in the area? (Mount Penn) hide this posting unhide

I have a very messed up back from a work injury that happened to me back in 1995 and 2 car accidents. I've tried it all from physical therapy to surgery. Everything is just a band-aid except for surgery. But I almost died after my 2nd spinal fusion in 99. And my 2nd wife did die from spinal fusion complications, or so they say in 2002. My Dad/Step Dad still can't walk after his last spinal fusion he had 5 1/2 years ago and has other problems too and is also still stuck in a rehab/nursing home so surgery is out of the question, it's just too risky.

I was getting shots for my back but they only last for awhile. I am however on medical marijuana for my chronic back pain, chronic depression, anxiety, diabetes and insomnia and it works great but it's too damn expensive. Who can afford $100 to $120 dollars extra a month for it when you're on SSD and that's the only money you have coming in a month?

Anyway, I'm just looking for a support group to talk with others who have chronic pain like myself everyday of their lives and how they are dealing with it. Or even just someone to talk to who is going through what I am. I'm not looking for pity from anyone, I'm just just looking for others who can relate to what I'm going through.

The picture is of my lower back after my 2nd spinal fusion. And then after the 2 car accidents they did an MRI on my upper back and found out that I have herniated and ruptured discs and spinal stenosis. The spinal stenosis isn't from the car accidents though.

The bottom line is that my quality of life has turn to SHIT!

Maybe Craigslist isn't the place to be looking for something like this because of all of the scammers and perverts and whatever the hell else is on here!

Anyway, thanks for checkin' out my ad man!

Peace,
Chris
