For you viewing pleasure I am offering a Peter Wright Anvil for sale. This is a good quality solid wrought forged Anvil with a clear ring so you can rest assured there are no hidden flaws. The name has been mostly erased from years of use but has the clear stepped edge on the feet It dates from 1852 as it has the mouse hole at the bottom of the foot on the horns end and has no England stamping on it which means it was brought in no later than 1889 due to the McKinley Tariffs of 1890.the edges are decent for an anvil of its apparent age and uses.therevis a slight belly towards the horn end of the face the dimensions are as follows from Horn to Heel measures 19-3/4"" width of face measures 4" and from feet to top of face measures 9-1/2". These Anvils go for 3 to 5 dollars per pound and I have it priced in the middle at 4 per pound. Thank You for looking at my listing!
